FEAST OF ST. ELIZABETH ANN SETON

I had Frances’ funeral today and it was beautiful. Two of her sons, the eldest grand-daughter, and 4 more of her grandchildren spoke after Communion. Not necessarily picking up on my homily; but they all talked about her faith. She really was a good Catholic and I will miss her.
I sent Martino to the cemetery (his first experience but I hear he did well); because I had an appointment with my pulmonary doctor. He was very pleased and I don’t have to see him till March. The lungs seem unchanged but I am having some difficulty with breathing. It turns out that I have gained 13 lbs since August. (I guess all the lunches and the chocolate chip cookies have caught up with me). So I am trying to eat sensibly again. Keep that in your prayers!!!!
I had the 5:30pm Mass and then had supper with the guys in the rectory. I was in bed by 9pm
