It’s Thursday and I just found this in my unpublished list. Don’t know what happened – Maury
I had a very pleasant sleep last night and woke up around 7:00am ready to move. I came over and had the 8:00am Mass. The first reading was from Isaiah and was very consoling – assuring us that God loves us so much that even if someone as close to us as our Mother would forget us, He never would.
After Mass, I did a lot of paperwork on four marriages I am working on and I felt as good as I did when the taxes were done.
I went over to the St. John Vianney House, which use to be the convent at Holy Redeemer parish in Kensington. It is now a house for priests, especially those in Southern Maryland, to come and spend a day or night. Also priests support groups meet there and on the first Wednesday, a group of retired or senior priests come and visit and then have lunch. Today we had a great discussion about books on Lincoln and the conspiracy. All but two of the priests are guys I’ve known for years and those two I have come to know; so it is a very pleasent time.
Then I went shopping for another pair of black pants and some more short sleeve shirts.
I worked all afternoon as clearing this desk and then I had a little girl, Anna, for her first Communion interview.
I’m going to head over to the rectory and get something to eat and then I’ll come back for “The Light is on for You” confessions in the church from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Then I hope another pleasant sleep.
