FEAST OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION – Morning

Yesterday, the feast of St. Ambrose was busy for me. It rained all day and I really don’t like rainy days.

I came over to the center around 7:00am and began to clear my voice mails (16) and my emails (27). I waited till 8:30 to phone people. I must have made 30 phone calls over the day. It was great to talk with Betty Neary, Berta Rohn, Muffin, and others. I didn’t get too much of my desk cleared but I had a productive day. I met with another RCIA person and then I went over to the St. John Vianney house and met with the retired priests. I had a very nice lunch and discussion with Fr. Vince Gatto and Fr. Frank Kasista and of course, saw Frs. Kane, Beattie, and Duffy. I do enjoy those meetings.

Then, I had expostion ( I got a chance to talk with John, the leader of the play reading group. I hadn’t been able to get to the meeting on Tuesday and I wanted to hear how the first reading and discussion of “The Last hours of Judas Iscariot” went. It was lively!)
I had the 5:30pm Mass. I thought it was the feast of St. Ambrose and had a homily on him prepared; but I forgot it was the Vigil Mass of the Immaculate Conception. We had music and about 60 people. My homily was definitely from the Holy Spirit.
Afterwards, I met with my cousin, Elizabeth and her fiance, David. I will officiate at their wedding on March 17th at the Cathedral.

I did some more work on my “missalette” for the Mass at Stone Ridge and then went home. More later today about today.
