We had an ice storm last night and everything was delayed opening – including our school. Instead of the 9:15am school Mass, I had the 11:00am and then at 2:00pm we had a school Mass. In the new missal there is a Mass in thanksgiving to God for Life. The prayers were very good. Today, of course was the March for Life but I couldn’t go because of the Masses but I went to the Rose Dinner at a hotel downtown at 7pm. I was the guest of Ed and Ann Sheridan – so was Jim Bocabella and we had a nice visit. The speaker was the attorney general of Virginia and he was excellent. I just got home – it is very foggy out and I’m glad to be home. Full day tomorrow, so I’m off to bed.
While you were dealing with snow and ice I had my first experience of driving in a dust storm. 60+mph winds caused us to pull off the road and watch box cars blowing off a passing train and tractor trailors struggling to stay on the road. Brushing snow off my car at BWI and driving home in fog last night seemed like a piece of cake. All things are relative, right?
